Maurício Hetti Zidde

Maurício Hetti Zidde, Sales Engineer II, joined John Crane in 2013 and works at our Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, site and John Crane. Maurício is responsible for sales in the Rio de Janeiro region—mainly in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries.

Maurício received a bachelor’s degree in production engineering from Fluminense Federal University and a master’s degree in project management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. His career began at a shipyard as an engineer trainee, providing support for the manufacturing and implementation of the pipeline lineup to the compressors in the oil platform. He also served as an Application Engineer at another company, supporting sales, finding solutions for bad actors and implementing new solutions at sites, and was promoted to Contract Engineer responsible for providing technical and commercial support in performance contracts.

“I was attracted to this industry because of the many challenges that require a lot of knowledge and technology,” said Maurício. “My favorite part about working at John Crane is knowing and learning new technologies, creating commercial partnerships and seeking improvements for our customers.”

In Maurício’s free time, he enjoys traveling, photography, hiking, reading, and watching movies and TV series. He is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt.
