Kate Ellison 

Kate joined John Crane in May 2024 as Division Vice President, Human Resources and Health & Safety. In this role, she is responsible for leading and deploying global human resources and health & safety strategies across the division to support the business vision. 

Prior to joining John Crane, Kate served as Vice President, Human Resources at Smiths Detection, a Smiths Group company. She joined the Smiths Detection HR team in 2013 as an Associate Human Resources (HR) Business Partner for EMEA and partnered with several functions and regions, before being appointed Vice President, Human Resources. 

Kate received a Bachelor’s degree in European Business and French from Loughborough University and a Master’s degree in Law & Employment Relations from the University of Leicester.
