Ruben Álvarez

Ruben Álvarez is the Division Vice President, Strategy, Portfolios and Marketing, responsible for developing market, products and service roadmaps and covering both organic and inorganic strategies that best position the company to achieve long-term value growth while also meeting short-term commitments. He is also responsible for leading the company transformation to capitalize on adjacent opportunities in energy transition while defending and growing our core businesses.

Since joining John Crane in 1998, Ruben has held several management roles, including Managing Director for John Crane Ibérica and John Crane Western Europe, Managing Director for John Crane MEA, Vice President and General Manager of John Crane’s Upstream Oil Services Business and Vice President of John Crane’s Global First Fit business.  Most recently, Ruben served as Executive Vice President for John Crane GeoMarket, where he was responsible for Global Sales and Aftermarket.

Ruben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Central Florida and a Master of Business Administration in international management from European University of Toulouse, France. He also successfully completed various International Executive Management Programs at Harvard Business School, UCLA and IMD.
