John Crane to Present About Optimizing Flexible Element Coupling Selections at the Steam Turbine and Generator User Group Conference


CHICAGO (March 11, 2019) ― John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, today announced plans to present at the Steam Turbine and Generator User Group conference in Stretford, Manchester, U.K.

John Crane Coupling Mechanical Engineer Matthew Davies will present on “Optimizing Flexible Element Coupling Selections for Turbine and Generator Applications.”

In his presentation, Matthew will cover the selection criteria for a high-performance coupling, and the considerations of overload torque on coupling selection. He will also present on how to find the right solutions to help reduce the couplings mass and, in turn, how this affects the turbine and generator system.

The presentation will take place in the Manchester Suite in Old Trafford Park (Manchester United Football Ground) on Thursday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. GMT.
