Keerthi D’Souza

Keerthi D’Souza, Engineering Manager, Wet Seal Systems, celebrated his 15-year anniversary with John Crane in September 2022 and works at our site in Bangalore, India.

Before joining John Crane, Keerthi worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at a biotech company. In 2007, he joined John Crane as a Fluid Control Engineer and later was promoted to Senior Engineer and Team Lead for the fluid control group, consisting of Proposal Engineers and Design Engineers.

Keerthi received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technology University and is currently pursuing a project management certification.

Keerthi shared some insights about a typical day as a manager. “On my average workday, I start with daily accountability meetings with cross-functional teams. I then check my emails and get started on top-priority projects. I spend a good part of the day communicating project execution updates with team members in India, Saudi Arabia, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic.”

A large part of Keerthi’s role is interacting with customers around the globe and providing project updates. “One of my favorite parts of my role is the interaction with our customers and the cross-functional teams,” Keerthi said. “I enjoy mentoring team members—my colleagues and managers are now my friends and have kept me motivated over the past 15 years.”

Keerthi shares that some of his close colleagues and friends call him “KD” and they would describe him as having a great sense of humor and being jovial.

In Keerthi’s free time, he likes to read or watch the news and sports. Some of his favorite pastimes are playing cricket and shuttle badminton.
