Ruben Álvarez

Ruben Álvarez is the Division Vice President, Portfolios and Customer Operations, responsible for leading John Crane's strategy and managing day-to-day operations in areas such as manufacturing, operations, portfolios, procurement, supply chain and value stream.

Since joining John Crane in 1998, Ruben has held several management roles, including Managing Director for John Crane Ibérica and John Crane Western Europe, Managing Director for John Crane MEA, Vice President and General Manager of John Crane’s Upstream Oil Services Business and Vice President of John Crane’s Global First Fit business.  Most recently, Ruben served as Executive Vice President for John Crane GeoMarket, where he was responsible for Global Sales and Aftermarket.

Ruben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Central Florida and a Master of Business Administration in international management from European University of Toulouse, France. He also successfully completed various International Executive Management Programs at Harvard Business School, UCLA and IMD.
