XPD8 Solutions is a privately held company that brings significant asset management capabilities including maintenance engineering services and condition monitoring for the energy sector. The business will be integrated into John Crane’s global business solutions group within the global end-user sales and service business.
“This acquisition underscores our commitment to strengthening our portfolio of aftermarket services that help drive efficiencies in our customers’ operations and reduce their total cost of ownership,” said Duncan Gillis, John Crane’s President and CEO. “We welcome our XPD8 Solutions colleagues to John Crane and look forward to quickly integrating the team into our organization and extending new expertise and services to our customers.”
“XPD8 Solutions’ customers will benefit from the largest global sales and service footprint of more than 230 facilities around the world,” said John Donatiello, John Crane’s Vice President of Global End-user Sales and Service. “In addition, access to the new services will help our current customers reduce costs by optimizing asset management programs and extending the life of critical equipment used in their operations.”
The services acquired through this agreement will be integrated into the existing John Crane asset management solutions portfolio. The condition monitoring service will help customers build a condition-based maintenance program through periodic monitoring and analysis of critical parameters for key pieces of equipment.
The maintenance engineering service and consultancy capability will help customers develop a more efficient approach to maintenance management. The services complement customers’ Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and are intended to improve management of their master equipment list, criticality analysis, spare parts strategy, job plans and preventive maintenance strategy.
“We’re excited to be part of John Crane, a recognized leader in the energy sector with global reach to help our business expand its international profile. We look forward to working with our new colleagues and embarking on the next chapter of our business,” said Mark Cavanagh, Managing Director of XPD8 Solutions.
