Cicut brings a decades-long proven track record of leading multiple industrial technology businesses
CHICAGO (April 18, 2022) ― John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, is pleased to announce it has named Bernard Cicut as president, effective April 18, 2022.
With more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles across multiple industrial technology businesses, Cicut previously served as president of 3M’s $4.5 billion Personal Safety Division, leading significant sales growth, including a rapid increase in the global demand for respirators that were critical in the world’s fight against COVID-19. In addition, he led global teams through successful acquisitions and entry into new market segments and streamlined processes to increase efficiencies. Cicut also held managing director roles at 3M across several regions, including Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Mexico, and France, and served as Chief Financial Officer of Sumitomo 3M.
Cicut brings extensive global experience in sales and marketing, operations, new product development, and Lean Six Sigma, all of which are central to John Crane’s commitment to helping customers achieve their growth and sustainability goals.

Cicut holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Institut Supérieur de Gestion and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
